Mrs. Nellie Ahmed

Founder & Managing Trustee's Message

Learning beyond the Classroom

Learning literally means knowledge acquired by studying. The years of a child in school are very critical for growth and development of an individual.

We, at Maria’s intend and strive to ignite this fire in the minds and hearts of our children right from an early stage and consequently move ahead on the path of enlightenment of the entire world through education which comprises a series of achievements and accomplishments each raising the individual to a higher level of awareness, understanding and kinship with everything around them.

Mrs. Mausumi Mahanta

Principal's Message

Maria’s Public School endeavours to build a warm and caring environment where students are encouraged to work to their potential with a challenging and interesting curriculum and a student’s success is acknowledged and celebrated. Maria’s Public School is a school of repute where trust, values and respect is a way of life. The school wishes to discover every child’s innate abilities and realize this through a child centric education system.

Mr. Anjan Gogoi

Vice Principal's Message

“You will never change your action until you change your mind”, said Van Crouch and Maria’s Public School has always been standing for such positive changes in the young minds to be creative, innovative and competent. “Give me a fish and I eat for a day. Teach me to fish and I eat for a life time” a proverb, which says that children should be equipped with skills of learning how to learn. The School has been quite successful in creating such a healthy educational environment for the students to learn.

On the 18th of August, 1988 Mrs Nellie Ahmed Tanweer started Maria’s House of Children with only one child. Today Maria’s is one of the city’s fastest growing schools. It offers opportunities to both boys and girls in educational development. The school is run by the Maria’s Public Educational Trust, an organization duly registered under the Trust Act. The objective of the school is to provide an educational environment which will help its students to become useful, competent and conscious citizens of tomorrow.

It has a child-friendly and a super hygienic set-up where children are taken care of for the time their parents are at work.

The specially designed curriculum of NIOS is at par with the CBSE and other recognised boards.

Personality Development quintessentially means enhancing and grooming one’s outer and inner self to bring about a positive change in life.

After school a child finds a plethora of options opening before him.

A six(6) month part-time Teacher Training Course is offered

Maria’s Public School has started a novel venture of introducing, helping, monitoring and thus leading some special children into the mainstream.
